I always liked you….

This was a sign-off on a card I recently received from an acquaintance at church.  I cannot tell you how many times during these days I have smiled as I thought on those words.  She obviously has the gift of encouragement!

Years ago, I began blogging hoping it would be a means to conquer introversion.  I longed to reach others with the wonders and grace of Jesus Christ; to share what awesome things He has done, how we can find him in the finite and infinite portions of life.  Then I got entwined with many life changes; hopefully I can restart now as my Honey and I journey through our retirement years.

How encouraging to reach others with, “I always liked you.“  More importantly is to reach others with Jesus’s love, forgiveness and salvation, He always loved you!

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  For one will scarcely die for a righteous person – though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die – but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.”   Romans 5:8-9
